We are working to preserve this beautiful community building in the heart of Llandstadwell for our future

Purpose

To support and preserve St Tudwal’s Church and its grounds in Llanstadwell for the benefit of the local community and wider public. As an independent charity, we aim to raise funds and resources to ensure the building’s ongoing maintenance, restoration, and development as a vibrant and flexible community space.

Vision

To develop and sustain a registered, independent charity that enables the ongoing care and revitalisation of St Tudwal’s, Llanstadwell. Our vision is to see the building and grounds not only preserved but also enhanced for broader use—embracing religious worship, community events, and small-scale enterprise—thereby securing its role in local life for future generations. Church services will continue as a core and significant use of the building - the Friends seek to complement this with wider community involvement.

Objectives

To maintain, repair, restore, preserve, and develop - for the benefit of the community and general public - the fabric of St Tudwal’s, Llanstadwell and its grounds in the county of Pembrokeshire.

Strategy

To realise our vision, we will pursue a multi-pronged approach combining:

● Applications for grants and community investment.

● Regular and targeted fundraising activities.

● The creation of a committed and engaged network of "Friends" who support the charity through regular donations, advocacy, and participation.

We will consult closely with the church committee, congregation, and wider local community to shape the future use of the building in a way that respects its heritage, reflects community needs, and ensures long-term sustainability.

How we want to make a difference

Fundraise

By organising events and activities we aim to raise funds to support small and large projects to maintain and develop the fabric of the church for future generations.

Raise Awareness

By publicising the charity we want to sign up more members and to raise awareness of both the need to support the church, and the opportunities the building presents to the community.

Involve the Community

The church building is an asset for the whole community, and we want to engage with you to understand how you would like us to support its use, beyond simply maintaining the current fabric.

Community Survey

We recently carried out a community survey to better understand how we can support the future of the building. Here is a summary of the findings
